Couplings
The 3800 Series Restrained Coupling is used for joining and restraining two plain end pipes of the same or dissimilar materials (Ductile Iron pipe, PVC pipe, Carbon Steel pipe and/or High Density Polyethylene Pipe (HDPE*). The coupling provides axial restraint to the rated pressure listed below, with a minimum factor of safety of 2:1. The 3800 Series Coupling is an economical alternative to the harnessing of unrestrained repair type couplings. The 3800 Series Coupling meets or exceeds AWWA C219 standards.

MATERIAL SPECIFICATIONS:
Center Sleeve: ASTM A536 Ductile Iron.
End Rings: ASTM A536 Ductile Iron.
Gaskets: SBR (Buna S) Rubber.
Fasteners: Corrosion Resistant, HSLA steel bolts & nuts.
T304 Stainless Steel available.
Torque: 60-75 ft. lbs.
Coating: Barrel – Fusion Bond Epoxy
Restraint Gland – Megabond® coated
